Modernization of the APCS of Gas Compressor Units (GPA) at the Booster Compressor Station (BCS) of the Mubarek Gas Processing Plant

Modernization works of the Automated Process Control System (APCS) for four gas compressor units (GPA-100, GPA-200, GPA-300, GPA-400) at the Booster Compressor Station of the Mubarek GPP have been successfully completed.

The project involved the integration of modern technologies into the production automation system to ensure uninterrupted operation of the GPA units, enhance the reliability and stability of the automated system and equipment, and extend the operational lifespan of the equipment.

As part of the work, outdated controller hardware was replaced with modern equipment, and the APCS software was updated accordingly.

This modernization will ensure stable and continuous operation of the units, minimize unplanned shutdowns, and reduce product losses.
