"Uzbekneftegaz": Working Group Analyzes Field Operations, Deficiencies Eliminated On Site

The work of the “Working Group” led by the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz,” Mehriddin Abdullaev, continues in Kashkadarya region to monitor the implementation of measures aimed at increasing gas production and geological-technical activities at the fields.

The goal of the Working Group’s study, headed by the Chairman, is to increase oil and gas production by analyzing the current situation at the fields and eliminating identified deficiencies directly on site.

On the second day of the visit, the Working Group, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Management Board, familiarized itself with the operations of wells at nearly 10 fields under the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department. The team inspected production wells No. 335, 336, and 321 of the "Zevarda" field, where drilling operations are currently underway. Together with the drilling contractor and management, the group reviewed the progress of drilling operations according to the established plan. The Chairman gave instructions to resolve issues related to the timely supply of materials and technical resources necessary for accelerating the drilling process.

Currently, complex well repairs with sidetrack drilling are being carried out in the existing complex of gas wells at the “Southern Kemachi” field to increase gas production. In 2023, similar operations are planned at 13 wells of this field. At present, comprehensive repair work is ongoing at wells No. 1, 2, 24, 64, and 144. The special equipment used for these operations and its capabilities were discussed. The Chairman instructed heads of responsible departments to study the feasibility of broadly applying such methods based on the results from these wells.

In 2023, within the framework of geological and technical measures at the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department, it is planned to drill 26 wells (16 of which are exploratory), carry out capital repairs and stimulation operations at 245 wells, and commission 8 technological facilities. As a result, 1,630.6 million cubic meters of natural gas and 14.3 thousand tons of liquid hydrocarbons are expected to be produced.
